Vice President of Business Development

Penn Krause uses 20 years of executive healthcare experience to direct the release of MediCenter™, Health Monitoring Systems’ new system designed to improve efficiency and accuracy in hospitals.  Penn understands the challenges faced every day by healthcare executives.  As Vice President of Business Development, he helps ensure that these professionals get the services and products that help their staff with routine tasks such as admitting and billing patients and with more involved challenges like medication reconciliation and patient history compilation.

Prior to joining HMS, Penn co-founded and was the CEO of Abrio Healthcare Solutions, which delivers consulting and technology services to help healthcare providers transition to a digital clinical environment.

Penn has been a CEO, COO and Division Vice President during his career in non-profit and investor-owned healthcare systems.  His experience includes eight years at Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tennessee and six years at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System.

He has a Masters Degree in Health Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
